UNIT 1: GEOGRAPHYStudents will gain a better understanding of basic geography skills and begin to apply the five themes of geography to the ways in which they view the world.
UNIT 4: Industrialism, nationalism & imperialismStudents will become familiar with the causes and consequences of national and international movements in history by comparing their similarities and differences.

UNIT 2: HISTORICAL THINKINGStudents will develop an understanding of skills that will help them better analyze history in order to better understand the present.
Unit 5: Global ConflictStudents will study major global conflicts, including WWI and WWII, and analyze the impact they have had on the concept of globalization, international relationships, and global dominance.

UNIT 3: REVOLUTIONSStudents will examine revolutions throughout history, enabling them to better understand the positive and negative impacts of national and international uprisings that can change the course of history.
Unit 6: Contemporary global conflictsStudents will examine global issues from the 1980s to the present day. Throughout this unit, students will ask themselves such questions as, “How can we influence and make changes in the present to ensure that history does not repeat itself?”
